Training in Paraguay - April 2011
In 2011, Gandhi International organized, in partnership with SERPAJ (Peace and Justice Service) of Asunción, training sessions in Paraguay on nonviolent communication and action.
Drawing on SERPAJ's network in Latin America, we developed and proposed to Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, founder of the movement and network, a training cycle on nonviolent communication and action. This cycle can be envisioned on several levels: a 1st level devoted to understanding and mastering the concept, a 2nd level devoted to training individuals, and a 3rd level dedicated to training trainers.

The initiative came from Michel Ferré and Christophe Grigri, and the event took place from 11 to 16 April 2011, with the participation also of Pilar de la Torre, a Spanish trainer in Nonviolent Communication, and Ana Juanche, SERPAJ's coordinator for South America.
After a meeting with Adolfo Pérez Esquivel and his team in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as with Ana Juanche, we traveled to Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, where the entire local SERPAJ team warmly welcomed and hosted us, and where Pilar de la Torre came to join us. It was indeed within SERPAJ's premises that the two information and training sessions took place, according to the following program:
A final evaluation highlighted the great enjoyment and keen interest of participants (about sixty in total) in this initiative. Some people expressed their wish to become trainers.
